Who said it- Jon Acuff
"Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle."
This SR may be more for the bloggers, but hopefully everyone can apply it to their lives.
Today marks the five-month anniversary for my blog!!!! When I woke up and realized what day it was I started reflecting back on how I felt five months ago. I think all bloggers can relate when I say you start out very excited and ambitious! However, you then can easily become discouraged. You start looking at other people's blog and thinking they have so many more followers and so many more comments and that can wear you out pretty fast. Any blogger who has made it past that rough patch and kept blogging has learned the above lesson. Anyone in any work environment has to realize that everyone is not at the same spot, but everyone did start from the beginning. You have to learn to stay focused on what you are doing and not worry about how the other people are doing. If you buckle down, stay focused, and work really hard, I promise that you will get to your goal, whatever that may be!
How did you learn not to compare yourself to others?
Thanks for reading,

I absolutely love this quote! It's so important, especially in the blogging world.

I completely agree, and I fell in love with this quote as soon as I saw it!

I've never been one for stressing too much about what others are doing, because I've always known that everyone is different. I've been blogging for about six or seven months and I only have a very small following -- and this can seem disheartening when others have been blogging for as long as I have (or sometimes less) and have followers in the hundreds or thousands. You know what, though? There's plenty of Internet to go around, and I'm just so grateful for the friends that I've made through blogging -- and all the fun that I have writing for my blog -- that suddenly the numbers don't matter anymore!
