My Favorite Fall Lip Products

I do not know about all of you but fall lip products are my addiction! Fall is really the only time of the year I actually wear lipstick. I promised in last week's Fall Beauty Trends post that I would share my favorite lip products this week so here I am! I hope y'all can find a new favorite in here!

{A Different Grape~ Clinique}

In real life this color looks like a slightly intimidating purple, but when worn is actually much more sheer. This lipstick adds a light purple tint to your lips without being dramatic.

{Airy Fairy ~Rimmel}

This is the perfect nude pink lip for fall! I like putting a gloss over this one because it is quite nude when applied.

{Juicy Apple~ Clinique}

I love using this bright red color when I want something to stand out a little more! It may look intimidating now, but I promise it sheers out on the lips!

{Syrup~ MAC}

This is the quintessential fall lip color. It is the perfect mix of pink, mauve, and nude! Plus, the finish is perfect!

{Vanilla Cream Pie~ NYX}

Butter Gloss was the absolute perfect name for this gloss because it is so smooth! This is the perfect pink and mauve combo!

{Raspberry Glaze~ Clinique}

I am not a huge red lip person, but when I do wear a red lip it must be a blue-red. Raspberry Glaze is the best blue-red I have found! It is the perfect fall color and makes your teeth look nice and white!

{Bonfire~ Clinique}

Every girl needs a nice tawny red lip-gloss for the fall time! This adds just the right amount of gold sparkle making it my go-to gloss!

Remembering Oscar De La Renta

Oscar De La Renta has been one of my favorite designers for quite some time now so I was devastated when my dad told me he had passed away. All of his many designs are truly infallible! Sunday Reflections~ Oscar De La Renta

Who said it- The unforgettable Oscar De La Renta

"Without panic, there is no excitement. If you feel totally sure about what you're doing you shouldn't be doing it." In memory of Oscar De La Renta I felt this week's Sunday Reflections should be a quote from him. I love this quote so much because it stems from the idea of never doing anything because it is "safe". You should always be pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, because that is the only way you can grow. Plus, he is completely right, without panic there is no excitement. Think about the last time you went on stage for recital or a play, the last time you posted a blog post you were really proud of, or the last time you did something really adventurous. You were probably really excited but a little nervous about all of those things; which is good! So this week push yourself; challenge yourself to feel a little uncomfortable. If you are doing something just because you feel secure change what you are doing! Have fun with your life and dare to dream, and do, big things!

My Take On Project Runway Finale S13

Well...... Sean won. I honestly wasn't that surprised, but I am not going to lie I cried about it a little. I really wanted Amanda or Kini to win, but I am sure Sean will do great things. After all, he is a very impressive designer. I felt I could not really judge there finale looks because it was a true culmination of what they have done throughout the season and would just be repetitive. I decided I would show you my favorite looks from Sean, Amanda, and Kini as a way to finally end the season. Hope you all enjoyed my Project Runway series as a plan on doing it again next season!

Friday Favorites

Hi everybody! I hope you all had a great week and it went by quickly! This school year is going by so fast already; it's almost November! I have some exciting posts planned out so look forward to all of those! Hope you enjoy!

Find Out About The Carrie Behind CarrieOnBlogs: Liebster Award

Some of you may be thinking that I have already done the Liebster Award, and you would be completely right, but when I saw that the amazing (seriously they are) Scarlett and Hannah nominated me I knew I had to do it again! I will be taking a cue from Jamie and will not be nominating or making any questions of my own. This post is simply here for you to find out more about me in a fun and interesting way! I would have loved to do all 22 questions but because I have a paper on Ebola due (fun right!?) and I worried the post would get too long I will be doing five of the questions from each girl. It was honestly so hard to pick which questions to answer because they were all really fun!



Hannah's Questions

1) What are your top three dream careers?

Ultimate dream career: being Anna Wintour! I mean seriously who wouldn't want to be her? Next, I would love to be in charge of Public Relations for a major fashion company in New York! Lastly, if nothing in the PR world works out I think owning my own boutique would be pretty cool!

2) What is currently on your wish list?

3) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to visit Greece, but I do not know if I would want to live there! If I could live anywhere it would be New York!

A little black dress, nude heels, and a great sweater! Also, everybody needs Jack Rogers, Chinos, and an outfit that makes them feel amazing!

1) What is your favorite fall fashion trend?

I am in LOVE with mixing prints this season!

2) What is your favorite month and why?

I love December because I am obsessed with Christmas! I also love March because we have spring break and the state fair in the same month!

3) What is one book you would like to see turned into a movie?

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane! If you have not read this book stop what you are doing and go get it now!

4) Polka dots or stripes?

Stripes all the way! If they are navy and white stripes even better!

5) What is one thing you can't leave the house without grabbing?

My cell phone is the obvious and very true answer, but another thing I can't not have is a bobby pin. I always have one with me, and several in my purse!

Fall Beauty Trends

Today when I was scrolling through Pinterest I ran across some pictures of fall beauty trends seen all over the runway and instantly knew I wanted to do a post on it! Next week I will be doing a favorite fall makeup products post as well! These are trends that go a little further then the basic berry lip and plum blush (which I totally love) and go more towards runway looks you can actually pull off in real life.

 

Mod inspired big lashes//



 

Who isn't in love with the mod trend???? I love looking up pictures and seeing how everyone looked in the 60s. All of the interesting eyeliner the makeup artists were doing for the runway was gorgeous, but quite unrealistic for the average girl. Playing up your lashes (particularly your bottom ones) is a great way to infuse some 60s inspired makeup trends into your routine without going too over the top.

 

Glowing skin//



 

I love that glowing skin isn't just restricted to summer any more! There is no longer any need to completely mattify your face! Whip out your highlighters and go to town!

 

Jewel toned eyes//



This is kind of how I did my makeup for homecoming (which I will be doing a post on shortly)! For me using blue shadows really brings out the green in my hazel eyes. What I love most about the jewel tone trend is that because there are so many different tones to pick from you are sure to find one that will make your eyes pop! My biggest advice when using jewel toned eye shadows is to be fearless and have fun with it!

 

Bold brows//



 

I had to find a picture of Cara for this trend because she is the queen of big brows! I think my favorite thing about her brows is that they are not perfect. When someone's brows look too perfect they tend to look very drawn on and fake. Let us all take a hint from Cara and fill in our brows, but embrace their flaws too!
