The Challenge:
This week Project Runway was given gorgeous jewelry from Chopard, a luxury jewelry brand. The designers were to make an extravagant evening gown around the jewelry of their choosing.

What!!!!! I still cannot believe that Tim used his Tim Gunn Save* on Char! Like I said last week, I liked her designs but she was never in the top. I guess Tim felt like she deserved another chance though. *Tim Gunn Save- brings back a designer who was sent home the previous episode.
The jewelry from Chopard looks gorgeous, and the exhibit they went to was breathtaking!
I cannot believe this is Sam's first gown she has ever made!!!
I am really unsure of how I feel about Korina and Alexander's fabric choices.
I really like Kini's idea of mixing hard and soft.
Sean's dress is absolutely stunning!
I like that idea that Korina has about the big coat, but in execution it is not looking that great.
I really do not like the sheer dress Amanda has.
Kini's looks are usually flawless, but the bust on his dress looks really messed up!

Alexander- I like the color of the fabric as well as the neckline a lot! I thought the structure of the front was beautiful. However, the necklace and the dress did not go together like the challenge asked for.
Amanda- I liked it... I think... It looked better once it was on the model and had a belt, but this was definitely not my favorite look she has done. I don't know if this would be something I would wear to a very formal event.
Char- It was nice, but I also feel like I have seen this dress before. No complaints just not many complements either.
Emily- I actually really like this dress! I love the color and neckline; it also had great movement.
Fade- I felt his dress was too plain. It had an interesting hem but that was all.
Kini- Gorgeous, but it did have some flaws. The flow the gown had was perfect but the bust was very wrong.
Korina- I guess I just don't get the look. The judges loved the big coat, but I was not a huge fan. I felt like it was something that anybody could wear anywhere and it wasn't very special. However, it did make a statement!
Sam- I liked her dress but I agree that it was very plain and nothing special.
Sandhya- I really liked the pattern on the fabric, but it looked like a cocktail dress, not something for a gala.
Sean- Gorgeous, lovely, classic, stunning, perfect silhouette! These words truly summarize how perfect this dress was, and it beautifully complemented the jewelry!

Again, I guess I just didn't get her look because they all loved the coat.

Sam
She was another one that had been in the middle every time. I really just don't think this was a good challenge for her, and she played it too safe.
